SENIOR STOCK & STATION AGENT
Location: Central West / Central Tablelands
Key relationships:
Business owners; all members of the Stock & Station team and office admin team.
Purpose of the Role
You will work as part of our well established team of Agents as they service all of our clients livestock needs.
Key Performance Indicators
- A demonstrated ability to go over and above for our clients
- Maintain existing client database while also sourcing new clients
- Compliance with all relevant codes of practice and all relevant legislation
Key Responsibilities
The key responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to:
- Assessment of stock
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, both written and oral
- working at the weekly cattle and sheep markets held at CTLX (Carcoar), drafting stock, assessing stock, and coordinating stock through the sale yard process.
- Self-motivated, enthusiastic and physically fit
- Negotiate private sales between buyers & sellers
- Able to work both independently and as part of a team
- Identify clients needs and proactively respond with advice and direction in relation to market /selling/buying of stock
- Organise and coordinate transport for clients ensuring all required documentation is prepared
- Where licensed as an auctioneer - perform this role
- Conduct and assist with clearing sale auctions
- Take pride in your work and your appearance
- A passion for sales and excellent stockmanship
- Knowledge of market trends to ensure optimal outcomes for clients and the business
Experience and Qualifications
- Prior experience in a similar role
- Valid Stock & Station license is required
- Current auctioneering qualifications or a demonstrated willingness to obtain the necessary qualifications
- Hold a current and clean drivers license.
